Divisionals Meet at Exeter This Saturday, July 19th!
Here are some details about the Divisionals Meet at Exeter Pool this Saturday, July 19th:
A reminder that this meet is for those swimmers who have not qualifed for the All-Stars meet - i.e., you are not one of the top 18 times in the League in each event. You also must have swum in at least two meets this season.
ALL DOLPHINS SWIMMERS AND VOLUNTEERS SHOULD ARRIVE AT 07:15 AM. We have the last warmup before the meet begins, but it will be plenty crowded with five teams there, including us.
Lovettsville will be the largest team there. We will be located on the deck in front of the fenced latticed area leading from the pool house. There isn't much shade here, so we will have our Team canopies set up. Parents will be located outside the pool deck area and should bring shade of their own too, although the lawn area has lots of trees. There will be a spectator area on deck for parents of swimmers during their events only (then you will need to move back outside).
We will still need some Volunteers for this meet (and All-Stars too) - Timers, an S&T Judge, Rounders. Please let Cary Flynn know immediately if you can help.
Directions to Exeter (two possible ways):
Take Rt 287 south to Rt 9 east to Rt 7 east towards Leesburg. Stay on the Rt 7/15 bypass and continue on Rt 15 north past the outlet mall and Kohl's/Target/Costco (Edwards Ferry Road). Turn left at the next light - Battlefield Parkway. Take the second left onto Plaza Street. The pool will on the left.
Another option is to leave Lovettsville heading east on Lovettsville Road (Rt 672) to Rt 15 at Point of Rocks. Turn right on Rt 15 south towards Leesburg. Stay left onto the Bypass - 15 south. Turn right on Battlefield Parkway, take the second left on Plaza Street, the pool is on the left.
PLEASE NOTE: There is additional parking just a little past the pool on the right, in Robinson Park at Leesburg Elementary School. Do NOT park in the townhouse parking or anywhere on the street where there is a yellow curb, YOU WILL BE TOWED!

Regular Season Practice Schedule Now In Effect!
Here is an overview of the Regular Season Practice Schedule that started Monday, June 23rd:
Heads up! The schedule stays the same on Mondays/Wednesdays but changes on Tuesdays/Thursdays.
Mondays & Wednesdays (same as Early Season Schedule):
6:00 to 7:00 pm: Developmental, 6 & Under, and 8 & Under, Swimmers
7:00 to 8:00 pm:9 & 10 Swimmers
7:15 to 8:30 pm: 11 & 12 Swimmers
8:00 to 9:15 pm: 13 and over Swimmers
Tuesdays & Thursdays:
6:00 to 7:00 pm: 8 & Under Swimmers
8:00 to 8:45 pm: 9 & 10 Swimmers
8:00 to 9:00 pm: 11 & 12 Swimmers
8:15 to 9:15 pm: 13 and over Swimmers
Practice STARTS PROMPTLY AT THESE TIMES - BE ON DECK AND READY TO GO!
For the 6:00 pm Practice time, only the swimmer and one parent are admitted free of charge (the pool is still open to the general public until 7:00 pm). You must pay the pool fees for any siblings or other guests. There is a Dolphins logbook for you to sign in.

Inclement Weather Policy
The Dolphins Swim Team Inclement Weather Policy for practices is basically for everyone to presume we will be holding practice unless you hear from us by email or see a post on this website - or there is a severe thunderstorm for a prolonged duration.
The pool will close for 30 minutes for each occurrence of thunder or lightning, but may reopen if it clears. It is possible that earlier practices may be canceled but later ones may still be held.
Therefore, the best option is to go ahead and drive to the pool to see the latest situation, or refer to the emails and this website if you aren't sure.
Basically, the coaches will try to hold as many practice sessions for our swimmers as safely possible. ;)
